Hooray for The Summer Reading Club!
BC Summer Reading Club 2020: Explore our Universe
Things are going to look a little different this year, as we go virtual, but we still guarantee a summer full of fun!
The Radium Public Library invites kids between the ages of 5 – 12 to register online for the 2020 BC Summer Reading Club. (All ages welcome) Registration is free and starts on June 29. The program will run from June 29 – August 14.
Registration is now open! Visit bcsrc.ca to register for Summer Reading Club 2020.
After July 2nd, you can stop by the library each week to pick up a Grab ‘n Go Activity bag complete with everything you need to create the weekly themed activities. New activity bags will be available on Thursdays from 11:00am-3:00pm and can be picked up at our Library Takeout Table in front of the building during library takeout hours.
With your online registration you will be able to access virtual craft demos, activity downloads and 2 live streamed events: Ask an Astronomer on July 15 and August 12.
The BC Summer Reading Club motivates kids to read (or be read to) regularly, which helps to maintain or improve their reading skills while school is out. It makes reading fun by inviting kids to read what they want and when they want. The staff at Radium Public Library can help kids find just what they like, whether it is a print book, audiobook, e-book, or magazine.
The BC Summer Reading Club is sponsored by the British Columbia Library Association, with financial support from Libraries Branch, Ministry of Education, and CUPE BC. For more information, or any questions, call the Radium Public Library at 250 347-2434
