BC Summer Reading Club 2022: All Together Now

BC Summer Reading Club is a free literacy program that encourages reading throughout the summer and engages children (ages 5-12 years old) with their local public library. Summer Reading Club is a fun, educational, inclusive and community-oriented program.

This year we will be offering a weekly in-person drop-off program that will run for seven weeks beginning July 8th, 2022.

Registration begins June 24th, 2022

*Parents are required to register their children for this drop-off program.

Registration forms will be available at the front desk after June 24, 2022.

Summer Reading Club Program 2022 Schedule:

Fridays:

July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, Aug 5, 12 &19

Age 5-8: 10:30am-12:00pm

Age 9-12: 1:00pm-2:30pm

The BC Summer Reading Club motivates children to read (or be read to) regularly, which helps to maintain or improve their reading skills while school is out. It makes reading fun by inviting children to read what they want and when they want. The staff at Radium Public Library can help children find just what they like, whether it is a print book, audiobook, e-book, or magazine. The BC Summer Reading Club is sponsored by the British Columbia Library Association, with financial support from Libraries Branch, Ministry of Education, and CUPE BC. Online registration opens on June 13th.
