Little Free Libraries

There are three Little Free Libraries around the Village of Radium Hot Springs.

Little Free Libraries operate on the honour system – they are a free book-sharing box where anyone may take a book or share a book. You do not need to share a book in order to take one.

The 1st Little Free Library was a partnership project completed by the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy (CBAL), the Village of Radium Hot Springs and the Radium Hot Springs Public Library.  CBAL built this “library”, the Village of Radium Hot Springs mounted it, and the Radium Hot Springs Public Library installed the initial selection of books. This Little Free Library can be found near the Rotary Garden in Radium.

In May of 2023, the Friends of the Radium Hot Spring Public Library were very pleased to unveil two newly constructed Little Free Libraries.
The Friends group installed a new library at the Sable Ridge pathway as well as installing a new Library on the Main street located near Radium Brewery. The Friends group felt that this location was an important one to allow visitors walking along Main Street to access books while visiting the lovely community of Radium Hot Springs.
We would like to thank our donors and supporters for this project:
Elk Park Homes
Dan Maurer Carpenter
Invermere Home Hardware
Sign Art
Village of Radium Hot Springs
Pete Florching
Without this community support this project would not have been possible.
Thank you all so very much
